30集电视连续剧《尖刀队》讲述了解放战争时期我华东野战军某部特别行动队“尖刀队”的传奇战斗故事。尖刀队纵横活跃在大江南北，以独特的战斗方式在敌后战场给了敌人致命一击。全剧分为四个篇章。《血刃》描写了尖刀队几经曲折在破坏敌人对我军实施毒气弹阴谋的战斗中大获全胜的故事。《越狱》则讲述了尖刀队深入虎穴，在我军对敌总攻前救出身陷重狱的原子能专家的故事。《冒名顶替》里，尖刀队巧妙化身为国民党特派员，打入敌人内部，通过虚虚实实的智力交锋，获取了敌人最核心的城防计划。《捕鹰》的故事发生在刚刚解放的城市里，在追击国民党杀手“鹰眼”的战斗中，尖刀队阻止了国民党残部在解放区制造暴乱的重大阴谋。
