本剧欲通过现时代存在的各式各样的家庭，解决我们社会存在的一些问题。欲解决年轻一代离婚率高的问题；应该享受生活的父母一代，却因养育孙子孙女而操心的问题，通过共同育儿提出对策。
本片是围绕着一颗叫作豆儿的绿色豆子，在成长过程中所发生的有趣事情。而续集为豆儿加入了一个新的伙伴，后来成为豆儿女朋友的粉色豆子——芽儿。在续集中，更多的加重了两颗豆子在感情生活中，所发生的故事也是十分有趣。
