故事以北宋哲宗时代为背景，通过丐帮帮主乔峰、大理世子段誉、少林小僧虚竹三人的江湖历险与爱恨情仇，以及围绕在他们周围的一众江湖人物，展现了纷繁复杂的武林恩怨和无计可消除的贪嗔痴怨，勾勒了一副充满人情世态的生活画卷，亦象征大千世界的芸芸众生，皆逃不出“情”之一字带来的痛苦纠缠。

前任院长蛭间重胜（西田敏行饰）被赶走一年后，东帝大学医院诞生了第一位女性院长，她提出“患者优先”的口号，开始进行大刀阔斧的开革，清除医局的腐败。但是盘踞在医院的当权者们为了夺回自己的利益，复兴以绝对权力和森严等级统驭的“黑色巨塔”，开始暗中活动。左迁至东帝大学医院知床分院的蛭间重胜也蠢蠢欲动。天才的外科医生大门未知子（米仓凉子饰）与被污染的医疗组织展开正面对决。
而令狐冲和女主角将会更进一步，他们无论哪个方面都会截然不同。
但是现在人心浮躁，难免有人会投机取巧，不努力创作，企图采取一些旁门左道，以求一步登天。

《非凡的公主希瑞》是当年引进的美国怀旧动画片的旗舰作品，但此片在美国的影响力不如其前作《宇宙的巨人希曼》，不过在当年中国大陆可是刮起一阵女超人的旋风。此片中正邪双方人物的成功塑造可说是本片的最大看点。再加上北京电视台完美的译制，多少年过去了，仍然让人回味无穷。郑建初老师配的希瑞，声音刚劲又不失柔美，让人赞不绝口。
