经营欺诈等智能犯罪的警视厅搜查二课的搜查员西加音子（真矢美纪饰）是超节约主妇。和有点懦弱但温柔的丈夫武雄（村田雄浩）两个人一起生活。有一天，像往常一样在超市结束限时甩卖回家的路上，看到了武雄和一个陌生的年轻女子在咖啡厅见面。动摇了的加音子追问回到家的武雄，那个女性是武雄的部下。警察加音子希望调查自杀的父亲生前交往的园田八千代（池上季实子）。继续调查的话，判明除了那件事以外和八千代交往的人物也意外死亡了。八千代每次都收到大量的遗产。加音子等人对八千代的怀疑加重，去拜访了向她提交过去欺诈申请的舆水正平（温水洋一饰），但却得不到证明欺诈的证据，搜查又回到了开始阶段。在搜查陷入僵局的情况下，加音子和八千代现在的交往对象南场和茂见面，为了取得证据而埋入公寓。然而，在那里遇到了意想不到的现场…。
