志贺伦成（上川隆也）是以追击独家新闻而有名的周刊「周刊时流」的副总编辑，工作得到好评，过着顺利的记者生涯，但有一天，他的大学生儿子涉及跟踪狂杀人事件，受害者身亡，志贺由追击别人变成被追击的对象，每日作为疑犯家人受尽世人逼迫，更因此被调到其他杂志，和妻子关系也出现问题。 在绝望中，志贺与一名少女相遇，以此为契机，他发现事件另有真相，在追查中渐渐发现新的事实，让他在黑暗中找到一丝光芒，其执念将带来奇迹的故事，探讨报导的自由及意义为何。
