该剧通过女主人公金子情感命运的走向和真实身份的逐步揭露，来展现曾家这一大家族里各色人物间的恩怨情仇，主要讲述了民国初年，东北荣城富商曾府一家人由于与竞争对手之间的江湖恩怨，从而引发的一幕幕儿女情长。
